Ramona – welcome to the world, little one.
Totoro Playsuit (となりのトトロ)
Being huge Studio Ghibli fans this was kind of a no-brainer. Rufus' very own Totoro playsuit! Based on the incredible Totoro onesie over on youandmie.com. We did make a few minor tweaks – most noticeably the detachable hood and collar – but the tutorial is super easy to follow!
As a family, the whole process was such a treat – a few days away from editing, e-mails and house hunting was so rewarding – finally putting that high-school textiles grade to good use. Enjoy!
Comforting Sounds
An exciting year ahead – just 2 weeks left until the arrival of baby #2. A time to wander, explore and clear the mind... so damn proud of you, Dawny... x
Fujifilm X100S
We recently picked up the Fujifilm X100S... (I know, a little late to the party) we were off on holiday and I really didn't want to be lugging around a DSLR + lenses. Honestly, I feel like a total idiot travelling with such things for pleasure. The iPhone is great for grabbing a quick image or two but there is always an urge to check-in with social media... which (for us) is a no-go on holiday.
Below are the results of its first outing... and we're in love – a breeze to use, fixed 35mm lens, stunning viewfinder and handful of Fujifilm presets. I don't think we will ever reach for the DSLR again... the X100S now sits proudly on our kitchen cabinet waiting to be picked up.
If you have an X100S (or similar model) please do drop a link in the comments section below – we would love to check out the images.

Don't Forget the Dinosaurs
Starting wedding season with a 3 month old was terrifying. Moving out of the studio has helped our work/life balance immensely BUT... being able to take Rufus with us on some of our longer trips has been the most joyous experience... packing his weekend bag is the cutest thing ever (Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs + more Dinosaurs... don't forget the Dinosaurs).
Just 8 months in and we're already working, playing, learning, sharing, laughing, crying... every day is a new adventure and full of highs and lows... but we're doing it. There is time for family and friends, there is time for the business, there is time for each other. You just adapt without noticing... routines come and go and you make space for change.
Dawny, I say this to you most days but sometimes I can tell you don't believe me. I'M INCREDIBLY PROUD OF YOU... you're an amazing mummy, loving wife and the better half of this little business. There you go... it's on the internet – so it must be true.

Destination Wedding Films
We're lucky enough to visit so many beautiful places – both here in the UK and beyond. In a few weeks time we're heading to Sweden to shoot a wedding film. It's all so exciting and there isn't a day that passes where we don't feel incredibly blessed.
At the end of last year we were whisked away to shoot a wedding film in Cannes... at the Carlton Hotel no-less... a mind-blowing experience for us but a wedding we were not allowed to share online... luckily we did take a few photographs which we've been meaning to post for a while now – so here goes... If you're planning a destination wedding and would like us to join the adventure – get in touch or maybe you want us to come to you... either way, we'd love to hear all about it... Japan weddings = top of the list.
